FlexiFlips are my absolute favorite for socks, sleeves etc. 😁 Try them for at least a couple pairs and see if it gets easier. It did for me and now I just fly through anything I get to knit with them 🙃

No, same as knitting with one. Well just always make sure you knit both strands as one stitch. I use my most pointed needles when I do which helps, too. Give it a try 😊

Hand knit shawl in progress with partial lace pattern; made with two different balls of yarn. One ball is orange, and the other variegated colors such as pink, red, orange and mustard, both shown in the picture. One strand from each ball of yarn used, held together, to make the shawl. One knitting needle can also be seen.

“Easy goes it DK” shawl pattern used as starting point for this WIP.

Your needle is too short for socks. Look up magic loop, I found that easy to learn. From there I switched to Addi FlexiFlips.
DPNs (that others have suggested) is usually a set of 5 double pointed needles (that don’t have a cable) and not just one.
Best way is to look up some YouTube Videos. 😊
