It’s growing pains to teach me skills I’d like to use more. Don’t mind that aspect. Right now though? I hate it.
Learning new things isn’t easy. In the end if you’re gaining knowledge to apply later, it’s worth it.
Hopefully, I can take pride in the result. Excited to put it out into the world.
It’s a smidge frustrating cause I’m trying to match timing and some pitch, something I can do, but shifting to higher notes from the base is stressing. It’s a new skill set I’m learning is familiar, but hell if singing isn’t rougher to edit than dialogue. I’ll figure it out, but I’m behind rn.
Thing is, it’s giving problems. I admit I always had trouble finding “my voice” pertaining to singing. This flaw is really rearing its head right now. At first it was difficult because of my arm situation (had to delay recording), but now
I’m finding so many issues in it cause I’m obsessing on bits.
I’ll come out and say that the project I’ve been working on is a cover song. I didn’t want to jinx it by talking about it and wanted to drop it as a surprise. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do. Thing is, it’s giving me a lot of problems. It’s similar but different to my podcasting skillset.

Shoulder update:
Got a green light to do more and pretty much no need to return to ortho unless I stop making progress in PT and pain doesn’t start to fade away more. Still need to be careful doing anything overhead and not lifting, but bone is healing really well according to the doctor.
Haven’t done the schedule yet. I am streaming today though! Moving it up a half hour to 7:00pm Pacific. Wednesday and Thursday will be this going forward.
As for what I’m playing…haven’t decided. Want to finish System Shock, but it feels like it isn’t entertaining to stream or watch.

Think I know why I stressed my voice the other week.
Loud car singing + not enough liquid = discomfort. A simple equation!
Been leaning into raspiness as my voice goes there naturally. But I sing subconsciously in the car and don’t focus on the volume.
