GwenDragon (@GwenDragon@mastodonapp.uk) Question: Is a knife weilding tentacle box the inverse of a useless box? A useless box always tries to turn itself off, but a knife wielding tentacle box brandishes a knife and waives it chaotically to prevent you from turning it off. Now I own both, if they touch, will they annihilate each other by virtue of being too opposite?

Maybe we could hire in some big projectors and beam it onto the side of Wes’ office or something 🤔

I really don’t want to update to #iOS 26.4, but I feel like it’s an inevitability.

Decided to not cross post my last toot to Bluesky because I really can't be bothered with the aggro. At least on Mastodon the audience "fits the demographic"

OK, the Gorton and Denton by-election, I have some thoughts!

Let's take a look at some of the FACTS and burst a few of the more ridiculous takes doing the rounds

But first up, can we acknowledge just what bad losers Reform are?!🤣

Right, let's get started...

Nigel Farage's Long History of Crying ‘Fraud’ Whenever His Party Loses Elections The Reform UK leader has a long record of blaming his own party's election defeats on "cheating" by ethnic minorities, yet no evidence of it can ever be found

Every time Nigel Farage's parties have lost an election he has blamed it on "cheating" by ethnic minorities and every time he receives huge amounts of media attention for doing so.

The only problem? No evidence of cheating is ever found

Had a really nice day with my partner today #cycling around #York and #Overton . Even managed to dodge the rain! Today did prove how unfit I am, and I’m very much looking forward to the sleepies later.

I’m pleasantly surprised that the traffic seems to be doing OK on the exit slips when I’ve been passing. Not that I have any particular reason to use J5 with the B6236 *still* closed.

Occasionally I’ll use it and take the Grane to Haslingden for cheap fuel.

I run NGINX Proxy Manager and anticipate this is probably the best option but would value any suggestions. [3/3]

It's so frustrating the likes of Tesco, B&Q and now Currys showing products from "Approved Third Party Sellers" on their sites. I'm tempted to write an extension to hide these listings, unless anyone else knows of one already available? #BrowserExtensions #onlineshopping

A film that I may not be able to watch with my partner… “The Polar Express - Robert Zemeckis”
As a train guard I fear that she’ll point out the inaccuracies of the *entire* film.

What was ever wrong with just “British Rail?” Why must we insist on prefixing it with “Great?” If re-nationalising a small part of the rail sector and slapping some red, white and blue paint was the holy grail to solve everything, “Great” is going to be doing some heavy lifting. #trains #rail

To all those organisations who are “regretfully” turning their backs and closing the door on trans people,

Don’t worry, we won’t forget.

The good thing about sleep is that you don’t have to put up with the bullshit of the world whilst you’re under.

Maybe I should do it more often than every night.

I have a tendency to buy project enclosures before having an actual project to put inside said enclosure.

Whatever you think of RTD, he knows television and knows the warning flares need to be sent up. Television and journalism need to start questioning and pushing back. Pushing back hard.

I’ve woken up to the sad news that Jane Goodall has passed away. I had the pleasure of meeting her on a couple of occasions through some initiatives we took part in at secondary school. A truly inspirational woman with a genuine passion for her work.
