$1700 has already been raised from IG so I wanted to extend it to BlueSky. The support has been more than I thought possible. I’ve been moved to tears. I’ve felt the solidarity from all over the world. Minnesotans are fighting hard on many fronts. These invaders do not know peace here.

Hi from Minnesota. It’s scary here. It’s heartbreaking. It’s worse than you think. But we are fighting. I made these to show the solidarity I see and contribute to the fight ❤️

Why would you ever think we aren't doing this? Check the MN sub reddit. I'm part of multiple community groups doing this. We're very vocal about documenting. You can literally google it.
So I tend to only take higher paying work, which are a bit more rare. But there are definitely jobs if the skills are there! If you're looking only for fine art and gallery work, there are specific agents for that. I don't have experience with that road though. Most agents deal in commercial work.
And I've found there's a new push for traditional actually, specifically with children's books. The industry has a lot of digital art right now and I get publishers seeking me out for a real watercolor look. The issue I have is it takes me much more time and material cost than a lot of digital.
Hi! It depends on what kind of work you're looking for honestly. You want to find an agent that works in the genre you want to peruse. Mine is mostly kids lit, YA novel covers, and licensing for cards/ads etc. Those are the projects I'm drawn to and fit me.
That is a HIGH compliment 😭🙏 My goal is always to capture that chaotic essence 😄 Thank you Jacqueline!!

Comic page from Gatsby pitch. A dark page where a deep blue peacock is walking through swirly water. Fallen chandeliers, feathers, and a playbook are on the ground.
One comic page of Gatsby’s mansion, him walking through his garden, watching Daisy jump into the water, a panel of him looking at the green light, and the final panel is Nick looking at Gatsby. Strong art deco vibes
I love these pages so much man

watercolor painting of a mermaid holding a conch shell, reaching for a second one sitting on top of coral. Two large koi fish swim around her. Coral is along the bottom and up both sides while small fish are lopping between her tail, coming down from the water's surface

Ahh! Thank you so much!! 🥹🙏 Wow this is incredibly sweet of you to say. I'm so glad you found me too 💗💗
I feel this so much. In 2022 I made more than I ever had and took 4 days off the entire year- no weekends. And then the taxes hit like you said. It made me rethink my whole career. I'm desperately trying not to do that again, but that requires being paid better. The industry doesn't allow for it
Thank you so much Allison! 💗
Thank you so much! 💗
