Allbirds shares soar 580% after pivot from shoes to AI The company is selling off its shoe brand as it plans to shift to providing technology infrastructure.

It's good to see at least one firm putting the sole into AI www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... #LunchPun

1970s for me and it felt like Mission Control. Tapes, consoles and headsets.

It would be great if you could add alt text to image posts, for people who can't see the content. #A11y #accessibility

We receive so much more information every day than our parents and grandparents. Part of the issue with AI information is the need to check everything as being accurate and complete which takes away much of any productivity benefit.

Your post appears twice in Bluesky. Different accounts. It’s prompted me to finally look up the meaning of Barley Mow as a local pub which is now Romantica Restaurant used to be a pub called The Barley Mow.

I'm grateful for every single one of you who has recommended my course and has been advocate for it over the years. I'm so incredibly proud of how far it's reached and how many careers it has influenced (literally)!

Thank you so much! 🩷

But does that mean you won’t see these replies if they mention distraction?

The message doesn’t seem logical. Can you not just sign out of one account to be able to sign into another? If the message is true it seems a bit vindictive, like keeping the whole class behind if the one culprit doesn’t own up.

On the other hand no app to have to keep up to date, and no nagging message asking you to confirm that you aren’t going to drive like an idiot.

Came here for the obligatory clippy reference, and not disappointed. Thanks Jon

So it does. ISDN wasn't broadband, hence the question. I thought it was only available on copper wire (ie a second phone line) rather than on fibre. It was great for the time and allowed things like radio presenters to work from home, with enough bandwidth for good audio, but not video.

Lovely pic, nice alt text and great pun.

Was that actually broadband though or something else over fibre optic cables?

Is a piece of toast the same as one stoat long, given that it is an anagram?

Good to have alt text but it needs more to enable understanding of the image.

I only understood this after reading the alt text. Good joke though.

A powerful image. Is there a story behind his right arm and foot being a different colour to his left arm and foot?

One of those annoying ones with lots of possibilities after the first go. Pleasing pattern though.

Awful response. Hoping that that the pin and id do help for most people.

Would definitely support that for things like Nativity - a brilliant film but no need for Nativity 2 to 23.

Did they still have partly rolled up jacket sleeves or was that more 80’s? And did they still neglect to lock their cars even in really dodgy areas as there are never other opportunistic criminals around to steal them?

lucky in some ways - I think I eliminated a letter early on that you might have tried in attempt 5 or 6.

Yes it is. Following your pattern I tried a couple of obscure things first which luckily turned out to not be words, then got it right on the 5th go.

I didn’t learn this word today but probably only in the past year. It’s a great word.
