Yep… same here. The crazy part is now I’m sitting on an app that users have helped me hone into perfection. And now it’s my duty to spread the word. 😊

True. I did start a newsletter for that very reason.

Good point.

Oh, I agree... just trying to see it from other angles. I don't do this "warming," but then I run into a problem that the actionable, powerfully effective content I carefully crafted from years of experience -- gets no love from the algorithm. Is it my fault? The algo? How can I be certain? 🤷

Why Your AI Complaints Might Be Your Secret Weapon What if I told you the very thing driving you crazy about AI could be your golden ticket to better content?

I’m definitely jaded. Haha. And we’re “in business” and have a different lens.

Yea, the trade-off is quality, especially if just spamming annoying templates.

But maybe some are struggling to keep their social channels “warm” while they can’t focus on it?

Just trying to see all sides.

Good point.

But also, too busy with other things. I think there’s an element of “if I stop posting I’ll be penalized by the platforms… so this quick automated thing is better than nothing.”

I could be wrong. But as a busy person with a lot to juggle, that temptation is very real.

Couldn't agree more. There has to be some sort of template tool out there, or a SaaS, that's creating these... way too many "RIP Adobe... this <blahblah> tool just did this 🧵" with the last post in the thread not even related to the thread at all -- just some product link - or "follow for me"

Hot take? AI-writing does not have to mean AI automated writing. #ai-writing

Is this eye-opening to you?

I've lived in Tokyo for 28 years; originally from Iowa in the U.S. But work with the USAF in Japan. I get both sides of the culture divide.

I find that if I start a chat with someone... say in an elevator, they're usually surprised but do chat. Very friendly here. Speaking Japanese helps. ☺️

I came here to say this.

Also, explore the .cursorrules file to add things you want Cursor to do better with.

Hope it helps.

Whoa, wait... last time I opened it the design looked so much like a parked domain page I thought it died. 😜

Chibi Writer | Chaddeus | Substack Look, most AI content is painfully mediocre (you know exactly what I mean). Let's make AI your creative partner, not your ghostwriter. Because you're here to create something that actually matters. Cl...

I am drafting a real banger of a post for Chibi Writer about the "just learn to write" perspective against AI tools. It's gonna be a good one -- and even-headed. No crazy emotional outbursts. Just my perspective on the matter.

Let's see if you'll agree: writer.chibi.ai

Or agree to disagree?

I thought the same thing... I was just like "ooh, a new Witcher. Looks cool!"

The anti-AI crowd sure makes a lot of noise online, but here's the truth: most people are quietly figuring out how to use AI to do meaningful work. They're too busy creating to waste time virtue signaling.

Looks like a cool product. Nice work.

They don't get it now, but they will some day. Let them stew in their own ignorance.

I get the same from writers who aren't ready to do better with AI.

The future isn't binary. It's not about writers vs. non-writers.

Why the "Death of Writing" Crowd Gets It Wrong (And why that should excite you)

I just read Paul Graham’s prediction that AI will create this stark divide between writers and "write-nots" – and honestly? I couldn't disagree more.

Hopefully not a “generate blog posts in a click!” type of tool. 😊

1 year ago 1 0 1 0

Absolutely, but I think that line is super clear (or maybe it's just clear to me after years of teaching this).

Write with your goal in mind (i.e. what it is you want to deliver for the reader). If AI helps you get there, even if your plans adjust as you go, perfect.

Just deliver your promise.

You want to know what real writing is? It's whatever gets your truth onto the page. Period.

Whether you're using a pencil, a keyboard, or yes, even AI – if you're putting your thoughts, your experiences, your unique perspective out into the world, you're writing.

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

I can partially agree with that. If AI helps you refine/change your ideas, perspective, and style into what you want to publish - then it is 'yours' still. ☺️

But I know what you mean. If AI generates everything using simple prompts w/little context and one publishes it as-is, yea, don't do that.

Why Most People Are Dead Wrong About AI Writing - #001 (And why that should piss you off as much as it pisses me off)

Interesting timing... I just rebooted a newsletter about things like this. This is issue #001: writer.chibi.ai/p/why-most-p...

I need to get something off my chest. And maybe you'll hate me for saying this, but fuck it – we need to talk about this whole "AI writing isn't real writing" bullshit that keeps floating around. writer.chibi.ai/p/why-most-p...

Serendipity.

Probably the most powerful reason to use AI while writing.

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

Definitely a learning op. But they can also afford the flops.

Can we get a "show a LOT less like this" button?

1 year ago 0 0 0 0

Phew… luckily it’s not shit. Great start. 😊

1 year ago 1 0 0 0

Maybe we have different ideas of execution. :)

Users love the app once they’re in. But in an age where there are way over-hyped AI products that don’t actually deliver, there’s a lot of skepticism (as there should be).

Or do you mean marketing execution? 😊
