Patrick Roath for Congress | Democrat for Massachusetts' 8th District Patrick Roath is a lawyer, democracy advocate, and Boston resident running for U.S. Congress to bring new leadership and real solutions to Massachusetts' Eighth District.

Indivisible Hingham Hull has endorsed Patrick Roath in the Democratic primary for MA-08, noting "At our April meeting, IHH voted to endorse Patrick Roath for Congress in the Democratic primary against incumbent Congressman Stephen Lynch. Roath’s platform aligns with our values."

A fair treatment of Rep. Lynch's housing record. His opposition to transit-friendly affordable development speaks to a mindset of preserving the South Boston of the 1980's.I support his primary challenger, Patrick Roath, who will approach housing and other issues holistically rather than parochially.

Looking for Parking While Others Look for a Place to Sleep Congressman Stephen Lynch (MA-08) has built real things for the people already housed in his district. The question is what he's built for the people who aren't.

He would monetize the air that we breathe if he could. He's mad, but also monstrous.

Impeachment motion now. Congressman Lynch, are you listening? Because Patrick Roath is.

Your walk tomorrow from the Common is going to be meeting up with other strands of protest. It will be very powerful. Meanwhile, Rep. Lynch and all Democratic members should converge on the Capitol in peaceful protest and demand the Johnson reopen the chamber for a War Powers Resolution vote

Beard! The walk sounds fabulous.

I like Kaine in many ways, but he's acting like Dwight Eisenhower is President.

Honestly, if the current trajectory continues, we might just overtake North Korea in the sycophancy Olympics.

Whitaker has no endowment of any kind, intellectual or otherwise. Trump put him at NATO to signal his utter contempt for the organisation.

He has no idea what he is talking about. Gorsuch is clearly irritated with him. Not to mention Sauer's supercilious comments about native Americans. Appalling and embarrassing, rinse and repeat with this crowd.

One of the Democrats’ Generational Battles: He’s 76, His Opponent Is 31

Instructive piece that is also applicable to the Dem primary challenge in the MA 8th CD between longtime incumbent Rep. Stephen Lynch and his 38 yr old progressive opponent, Patrick Roath. There is real fatigue with Lynch among voters.

Well done, Patrick. We need to put a GPS tracker on you. You're showing up everywhere, and voters are taking notice. Your opponent, Stephen Lynch, not so much. Many voters I speak to remark on his relative invisibility, particularly in recent years.

I am also hearing this signal clearly talking to voters while collecting ballot signatures. Two women specifically asked me your position on reproductive freedom and when informed you were strongly pro-choice said they were on board. Both indicated they are suspicious of Lynch on this issue. Bravo!

Boston has a race and sports problem. But it’s hardly alone among ‘liberal’ cities A number of Boston Celtics players have spoken about racism in the city. But to say it’s an isolated case is to misunderstand America

Probably a favorite of Louise Day Hicks and the anti-busing crowd from the 60's (the ones who could read, anyway). A sordid tale in Boston history and not entirely expunged yet. www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/a...

The rhetorical style is first class. Draws on classic "call and response" cadences with a dash of Bobby Kennedy. And, in this case, the style and the substance of the man align in his basic human decency. Let's get him re-elected.

He also knows the value of a pregnant pause. Polar opposite to the robo-mouth in chief. There is a real dignity in Ossoff, as in Rev. Warnock.

Exactly.I've been collecting ballot signatures for Roath at Democratic/Indivisible events, and the reception has been robust. Many former Lynch supporters have what I am calling "Lynch fatigue"- just a sense that he is tapped out. Not a function of age but rather enthusiasm and energy for the work.
