Every year, Amber Heard fans & supporters come together to raise money to help a cause related to women’s issues. This year, given the incoming administration, we feel that helping women in Amber’s home state of Texas get the reproductive care they need is essential.

Don’t 🥺🥺
I dyed mine pink recently, I love it. It was supposed to be a gif that I posted though, oh well. Dislike the Amber gifs on here, there’s way too many of the trial/memes abusing her.
Forgot that part. That is definitely something that should have been discussed beforehand. And what’s she supposed to do? Push him - her boss - away in front of everyone and be labelled as difficult?
Absolutely. We all know the nervous giggle she had to do. The power imbalance was evident from the very beginning.
I still love your pic of Amber as Jesus
“The coordinated social media campaigns, such as the one targeting #AmberHeard, can be fuelled by the echo chamber effect of online communities, where dissenting voices are often drowned out or dismissed”

👆I hate how isolated she must have felt. The open letter was a massive sigh of relief and I wish people/orgs hadn’t felt so afraid to speak up sooner. And some of them still haven’t. The ACLU’s silence is particularly deafening.
Reminder that Johnny Depp sexually harassed #AmberHeard on the set of The Rum Diary. He lied to her to get her alone before pushing her down on a couch & leering down at her while saying “yum”. As the movies coproducer, he was her employer at the time. He was 45 and she was 22.

Not a single expert in intimate partner violence and coercive control recognises that man as a victim.
Great thread @libertysmith.bsky.social
“You may not see us, but we are there. Your sisters are everywhere - and we are with you.”

“We have inherited far too much to be resigned to accept injustice and together we are much too strong to excuse it any longer. So, as I write this today, I can promise every woman who is suffering in silence: you are not alone.”

“You, like me, see yourself not as a victim, but rather as a member of a growing class of women, daughters of a generation of equality.”

“I was raised to be independent and self-reliant. I was never given nor wanted the burden of dependency. I never felt anyone would or could rescue me, so naturally I resented the label of ‘victim’. Which is how I imagine many of you feel.”

“Standing shoulder to shoulder as women, we comprise a vast army of voices and we can no longer accept ‘silence’.”

“But there’s no need to make that terrible trade. It takes real strength to come forward. It isn’t easy to raise your voice, to stand up for yourself and your truth, and to do it ‘alone’. But our world is changing.”

“The fear of being ostracized from society is just about the most terrifying prospect there is.”
#IStandWithAmberHeard
“No matter how terrible or terrifying surviving trauma may be, unfortunately, it can pale in comparison to what follows. It’s no wonder so many of us feel we have to keep quiet or risk our own safety to try to maintain our dignity by quietly enduring.”

“Let's start with the truth - the cold, hard truth. When a woman comes forward to speak out about injustice or her suffering, instead of aid, respect and support, she will be met with hostility, skepticism and shame. Her motives will be questioned and her truth ignored.”
#IStandWithAmberHeard
“I want to remind you of your strength, a strength that is multiplied by the number of women who stand silently behind you - a truth that allowed me to break down the doors I once found myself behind.”

“To my silent sisters everywhere,
You are not alone. You may have suffered alone behind closed doors, but you are not alone. You need to know that.”
🪡Amber Heard was a Human Rights Champion for the United Nations High Comissioner for Human Rights. She travelled to places like Syria, Lebanon and Central America on aid missions and has been recognised for her life saving work. Depp destroyed that for her too.
This is a Jude appreciation post

Congratulations 💚 I’m always recommending your series to people still under the drpp delusion. Great work! I hope you get the recognition you deserve for it.
“I want to ensure that women who come forward to talk about violence receive more support” - #AmberHeard, 2018.
Given what’s happened in the 6 years since this was published, I hope more and more people are reflecting on just who benefits if survivors voices are silenced.
