To be eligible, proposals must include alcohol. Applicants must be:
-First author on poster or speaker in a symposium at APA
-Presenting in person at APA
-Grad student, postdoc or early-stage faculty member (within 10 years of degree; if faculty, NOT receiving NIH support for travel)
-US resident
That means that you will present your work 2x at APA: during your regularly scheduled time, and at our early career investigator poster session on Friday 8/7/2026 from 5:30-7:30 PM (subject to change until time slot is confirmed).
If you are selected, your presentation will be showcased at an Early Career Investigators Poster Session sponsored by the @apadivision50.bsky.social Div 28 (Psychopharmacology and Substance Abuse), and NIAAA.
To apply, complete the online application–which requires you upload your acceptance to APA–by 4/30/2026. We will notify applicants by 5/31/2026.
