At the most basic level of 'have some self-respect', Conservative MPs should not put forward someone who visibly is not intellectually equipped to be prime minister as their candidate to be prime minister.

Different family members in PT routinely went to work leaving dogs (male & female) on balcony. First job on arriving home was to hose down the balcony. And then sometime later to deal with the incestous litter. This was not my expectation of caring for a pet.
So for the Guardian, it's job done.

But also can claim they corrected the headline when it was pointed out to them to be factually incorrect, so nothing more to be done...

In Parede, where we lived longest, if a distant dog started barking then many neighbouring dogs would join in. Evening is the time of day when owners arrive home and take their dog out for a walk (etc). Specific to Portugal? Lack of social stigma in having a noisy dog.
It was very frustrating. Perhaps we were just unlucky.
Neighbours dogs. Barking at all hours. All the places we lived, Colares, Parede even Avenidas Novas. So stressful.
One of the reasons I left Portugal.

I bought this when it came out. It was the cheapest double album in the shop. It wasn’t until I got it home that I learned it only had three sides of music. What a swizz. Great music though.
Leeds has thousands of Chinese students. Many of the Chinese restaurants have upped their game in response. And it is pretty authentic, from the basic ingredients, to the coooking and waiting staff. Maybe you won’t find snake on the menu as I once did in HK, but most other stuff is pretty good.

Keir Starmer is under unprecedented attack from right-wing media missing the chaos and excitement that a succession of idiot prime ministers once brought to their lives. Starmer is steadily improving the lives of a majority of the UK populace and is more popular than you suggest.
Excellent review in this English newspaper except for the irritating americanism, Rube Goldberg rather than the more culturally appropriate Heath Robinson.

The big story is centre-right joining centre-left to very effectively keep Ventura out. Welcome because the Portuguese presidency is not a token role, the President has real influence and Ventura would have been both toxic and polarising.
