"The SAVE Act isn’t about election integrity; it’s about making it harder for specific groups of people to vote, like women & trans people. It’s voter suppression that perpetuates anti-immigrant misinformation."

A graphic that reads: 'They deserve this transparency': Rep. Ayanna Pressley calls for hearing with Epstein survivors
If we are to hold powerful people to account, we must center the voices they tried to silence.
I'm leading @oversightdemocrats.house.gov in calling on Congressman James Comer to allow survivors of Epstein's abuse the opportunity to testify before Congress, if they wish.

NEW: Today, Trump deployed the National Guard to our nation’s capital—and seized control of the local police force—using “rising crime” as the pretext for this power grab. The fact is that crime in Washington, D.C. has been at historic lows.
"Healing, transparency, accountability for these survivors is important, and they deserve it, and it is long overdue." Rep. Ayanna Pressley tells Jen Psaki she is "already in touch" with Maria Farmer about coming to the House Oversight Committee with her testimony.
DWC Reproductive Health Care Task Force Co-Chair & Liaison @pressley.house.gov is calling for a hearing with other @oversightdemocrats.house.gov so survivors abused by Epstein can share their truth.
The American public deserves to hear it and these survivors deserve justice.
We honor Juneteenth by remembering our ancestors, who lived through and survived chattel slavery and the violence of being denied control over their own bodies.
We honor them by telling the whole story. Freedom must include bodily autonomy and survivor justice. 🖤

From the school-to-prison pipeline to harmful media narratives, Black girls are often treated as older, less innocent, and more responsible than their peers, especially in moments of harm.
Black girls deserve to be seen, heard, and protected, and our powerful new PSA pulls no punches. Join us tomorrow 6/12, in-person in Philly or via Livestream, for the premiere of our PSA called “The Rules,” which highlights the adultification of Black girls and the systemic harm it causes.

"Survivors deserve better. They deserve a government that invests in their safety, not one that strips it through manipulation and lies."
In the fight for change, we need to embrace the power of Black joy, creativity, and unity. These aren't just feelings, they're acts of resistance.
Yesterday, the House voted to pass the SAVE Act, a dangerous and anti-democratic bill that would make it harder for millions of citizens to vote, especially married women and trans people. Congress should be making it easier to vote, not harder.

A vibrant digital illustration features four diverse individuals wearing bold, stylish outfits and accessories, standing confidently against a textured blue background resembling water. The text "me too." appears at the top, followed by "MOVERS OF THE MOVEMENT" in bold, 3D-style purple lettering. Below, a subtitle in white uppercase letters reads, "HONORING THOSE WHO UPLIFT SURVIVOR JUSTICE." The artwork conveys empowerment and solidarity, using bright colors and strong visual contrasts.
