What I have frequently heard programmers say over the years:
(1996) "Lines of Code" is a terrible metric
(2006) "Lines of Code" is a terrible metric
(2016) "Lines of Code added" is a terrible metric
(2026) I have to use AI because it's the only way to meet my company's "Lines of Code added" quota

My only crit is seems a liiiitle too forgiving that there is no health cost to falling into the void.

The only good April Fools joke was when a library posted a headline saying βStudy Shows Literacy Problems BC People Reply To Articles They Didnβt Readβ When you clicked the link βlol April Fools there is no article. Tell no oneβ Then people who had not clicked the link argued about literacy all day.
Incredible
It really cannot be overstated that COVID happened, suddenly a bunch of absentee tech dads were forced to stay home where they saw their kids playing Animal Crossing while talking on Discord, then collectively decided to light a trillion dollars on fire to make Snow Crash IRL.

dannng - ever done that thing where you use a static c# class as a manager - but then it needs an Update() cycle so you have to spawn a stupid empty GameObject that literally only exists to call update and It feels kinda ugly? You can just use Awaitable now and make your own update loop. crazy
