Me, somberly, at an international law conference: “The world is now playing by All Stars rules.”
Or in Kash Patel’s case, wake up mid-afternoon.
Breaking: HHS’s ban on gender-affirming care is struck down. Rarely have I read a ruling this sharply worded.
“This case is one of a long list of examples of how a leader’s wanton disregard for the rule of law causes very real harm to very real people.”

Me: “Should we get a ticket to fly to Minnesota?”
E: “I think we can use our library card.”
(I may have done *too* good a job hyping our local library.)
It’s a telling indicator of media desensitization that the US government’s ongoing program of murder on the high seas—which according to the perpetrators has killed fourteen (14) people this week— is no longer a subject for much serious or sustained news coverage.
Associate the idea with a grocery store so popular in NYC that it consistently has a line snaking through it. Masterful!
It sounds like something I would say and I mean that in the most judgmental way possible.

As a citizen I think she should lose her job but as a gay man I unfortunately will be quoting “how about the josh sauvi B” for the rest of my life.

A remake of The Ring but with a video of JD wishing you well.

I was like “thank you, I’ll pass that feedback on to Hein.”
Our three year old flipped through this research guide I wrote and told me that it’s not good because it “doesn’t have pictures in it.”

I'm a huge fan of the Remarkable - especially over breaks when I travel, being able to bring 1000+ pages of reading and all the exams I have to grade, and then being able to mark them up with notes and export the files to my desktop, has been a total game changer.
My exceptionally kind and bright godson Tariq is passionate about the right to education, and decided to raise the school fees to send a child in Zambia to school for a year. If anyone wants to chip in, you can do so here! www.gofundme.com/f/help-tariq...
