Watching Shiny Happy People season 2 and now I'm heartbroken because I (90s Christian teen) was soooo *earnest* and wanted to live for God. There were so many aspects of human existence that I missed out on trying to be "sold out for God." It was all bullshit and there's a weird grief in that.
Which is why a metric ton of us have left our churches since MAGA started.
If it helps to know they've been endorsing candidates since the early 2000s at least. Our (former) mega church had Chris Kobach speak from the pulpit.
