There are older people who, based on their own intellectual, physical, energy limits believe they should limit other older people to hobbies. And there are younger people who feel entitled, despite lacking intellect, education, experience, basic common sense, who assume “I’m young” is enough.

You want 60yr olds to give up their jobs to be “fair and proportionate” to 30yr olds bcse God forbid they’re old in a job a 30 yr old wants. Should a 50yr old quit to make way for 30 yr olds? In which jobs, or just all jobs? Should 40yrs olds be notified to expect to shift off to “mortality” by 50?

All people are mortal. All should assess work or other activities they can or can’t do or commit to do for “reasons.” That means a stupid 28 yr old shouldn’t take a job they aren’t smart, disciplined, skilled enough to do, not assume bcse of age they can do it. Why not “to each his own” about work?
