“This building is not an apartment house.” With this declaration, Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa introduced the Nakagin Capsule Tower in 1972 as a radically new vision for urban living. Torn down in 2020, this restored capsule, one of the original 140, is on display at MoMA

Oh man, our local e-bike shop sells a lot of those! I hope he’ll still be able to get parts. Shout-out Mission Electric.

Once missed a flight (3 adults and a 2-yr old) because time zones. Luckily there was a pilot sick-out going on and they gave us food and hotel vouchers for a flight the next day lol

Why have you shared this video 12 times?

I’ve seen a lot of weird takes on the half-marathon robot. You don’t have to outrun it, you just have to outrun the other humans.

*also, look for the full video, there were a bunch of different robots and a lot have entertaining technical glitches

Just unhinged levels of ‘I shouldn’t ever have to change the way I do things’ entitlement.

James Norton as Reverend Sidney Chambers on the right, jacketless with a white shirt, black vest, and ‘dog collar’ of an Anglican vicar.
Robson Green as DI Geordie Keating on the left white shirt, red patern tie, striped suspenders, brown suit jacket over his right shoulder.

If your escapism runs to British mysteries, try this Grantchester series. Handsome jazz-loving single protagonist haunted by WWII memories solves murders in 1950s Cambridgeshire with heavy-drinking married police detective also haunted by WWII memories.

Yeah, I do sometimes wish I had faster engagement on the XC and single-speed tho, if only to avoid that BANG after the pedals pick up speed because they can travel around a fair ways before the teeth hit, I guess I could put on 165mm cranks ;-)
