Saw a post from yesterday where @davidbix.bsky.social RT’d a Greg Pak post and it was a rare time when my wrestling and comic book fandoms crossed over. My brain had trouble processing what I was seeing.
Which is probably the right call because these people are the same that think AEW tells no stories because a lot of the storytelling is told from bell to bell without the constant need for community theater or “CINEMA” as they call it because they only watch WWE.
45 minute promos and spoon feeding every single part of a story at every turn to leave zero room for ambiguity. On that same note they do way better at treating their audience like idiots because they can’t trust them to follow the most basic narrative structure without having their hand held.
Actual wrestling to further wrestling feuds… OH THE HORROR!!!!!
WWE is also being sued for sex trafficking and enabling a pedophile in two separate cases. Actively supporting and giving money to WWE shows either obtuse ignorance or a lack of moral character, and I’m tired of pretending it’s not/making exceptions for people who just have to have their WWE.
Sure, but participating in society is one thing while there’s nothing indirect about making the choice to support the WWE after everything.
