Thanks. I'm thinking of spraying them Mechanicus Standard Grey, basing them Mechanicus Standard Grey, giving them a wash of Mechanicus Standard Grey and then a drybrush of Mechanicus Standard Grey to really enhance that kind of look.

I reject the absolutely BASELESS accusations that my Necron Warriors aren't done yet.
Some as-yet-unpainted Wolf Scouts with sculpted facial hair in various styles.
Image of the current WIP state of the Abaddon project. Newly painted is an even wider ranging spread of red bottom ligthing on the upper half, and the implied wall of flames around the knee-height of abaddon, painted in by the highest-value yellows at those heights.
Three-part image of the current WIP state of the Abaddon project. At the top is one 2:1 ratio wide photo centering on the knee-height level of abaddons body, where the center of the implied flames is placed, which causes the warm osl on the rest of the piece. The bottom half of this collage image is vertically split in the middle and shows different angles of the kneepad, which is the detail that is most refined in the area shown above.
Side-by-side comparison of the close-up image of the current WIP state of the Abaddon project. On the left is my miniature interpretation of the art on the right, the original and iconic warhammer artwork "eye of terror" by Karl Kopinski. Newly painted is an even wider ranging spread of red bottom ligthing on the upper half, and the implied wall of flames around the knee-height of abaddon, painted in by the highest-value yellows at those heights.
After last nights painting stream, which was surprisingly productive on my part, we have set up the center of the flame wall, which is the center and source of all the warm OSL on this piece.
I'm starting to actually feel good about this :)

Necron Tomb World wall base coated in black.
Necron Tomb World wall with some distinctly average green and metallic paint applied.
Quite chuffed with how this test paint for the scenery worked out. Not chuffed at all with how long it took (~3 hours) considering the number of walls left to paint ๐
In 40K lore, the Leagues ask their ancestral supercomupters (the Votann) for wisdom and must wait some times wait an age for the answer.
I'm currently feeling the same way about live chat with Virgin Media customer service.
Variety is the spice of life. Go with random.
I love this scene where Trazyn is fighting a dinosaur, resulting in probably one of the greatest smilies in all fiction.
This very British graph shows the inverse temperature of custard. If the food is hot (e.g. Apple pie) the custard must be cold. If cold (e.g. Ice cream) the custard must be hot.
Custard donuts are room temperature and therefore in equilibrium.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
The new illustrated and annotated edition of The Infinite and The Divine, complete with green gilt edging.
Took half an hour queuing in bitterly cold wind, but more than worth it to secure my new copy of The Infinite and the Divine. Just needs signing by @robertrath.bsky.social next time he's in this neck of the woods. Also, I will definitely be reading this with Richard Reed's voice from the audiobook.
Absolutely has to be Heldenhammer. The Legend of Sigmar Trilogy by @grahammcneill.bsky.social are some of the best books I've ever read. Not just best Warhammer books, mind you, but best of any genre. Go and vote for it so you can buy a copy in due course!

Saw this in person. The Lieutenant stripes are immaculate.
I picked up Sergeant Jovan at the Warhammer World Anniversary yesterday, and immediately seconded him to the Deathwatch. As far as kitbashes go it was extremely minimal (literally just the one shoulder pad) but he just looks so Deathwatch-y already I didn't need to do anything else.
A tall, bearded gentleman (me) standing up straight next to a very short doorway which reaches just about shoulder height, with a sign reading "Mind your head" on the topmost lintel.
Mind your head, neck, and possibly shoulders too.
Staying in a 17th century cottage in the Lake District, which might as well be a hobbit hole considering how low some of these doorways are.
How I imagine the design meeting for this car park went.
"I need to know how wide a typical car is."
"So you can add on a suitable margin to allow people to get out of their cars?"
"Lol. Lmao, even."
Imagine how tall it would be if they'd depicted him standing up ๐ค
Okay, this is quite outstanding from Bedford Council.
Five Reivers painted in a gold, red and black colour scheme, but with some grey components where I've replaced bits with the intention of spraying them black and starting again.
Potentially controversial question - what are your thoughts on repurposing previously "completed" minis? I had these five Reivers from a custom chapter I never fleshed out, so I'm seconding them to the Deathwatch. But I realise some hobbyists might consider this sacrilege.
An Ironbreaker Dwarf smoking a pipe and holding a bloodied axe.
Sifting through my display cabinet and came across one of my earliest attempts at properly reposing a miniature - Ironbreaker at rest.
A "near miss" is actually a "near hit". It's didn't nearly miss, it nearly ๐ฅ๐ช๐ฅ๐ฏ'๐ต miss.
This is a genius idea and I will be stealing it.
So it's not just me that have noticed that chippies are somehow inversely affected by shrinkflation? Cost of a chip portion remains seemingly stable, but the portion size has grown exponentially to the point where the smallest option could feed a family of four.
What qualification do you need to become a Servitor?
BTEC
(Say it out loud if you don't get it.)
(If you still don't get it then you just need to acquaint yourself with British vocational qualifications.)
I second this. Great book, as is the sequel.
I can also recommend This Way Up by always informative and entertaining Map Men if you've even the slightest interest in geography.
"I'm gonna need two flamers for this purging!"
I should be sorting my bits boxes right now. Instead I'm using stuff from my bits boxes.

Dioramas on display in a glass cabinet in Warhammer World
โ๏ธMy minis displayed in a Warhammer Store
That's a bucket item list ticked off. See below for closer images of the minis (dioramas) in question. All three of these were projects centred around creating dioramas within a Wicked Brick display case, a fun chance to challenge my hobby skills.
