Like this post to be added to the "AI Haters" list. It is for people who subscribe to anti-AI blocklists or otherwise are poorly disposed to have productive conversations about AI.
We must abandon the old New Left line about the inherent corruption of engagement with politics, power and policies.

Can you explain in one paragraph how humans survived? We are so stupid.10:30 AMHonestly, a lot of it comes down to the fact that "stupid" as individuals and "stupid" as a species are very different things. Any one human alone on the savanna is a soft, slow, clawless snack — but humans almost never operated as single units. We ran in tight cooperative bands that pooled knowledge across generations, so a kid didn't have to figure out which berries kill you; someone's grandmother already knew. Language let that knowledge compound, fire externalized our digestion and let us extract more calories from less food, and throwing plus endurance running turned mediocre bodies into persistence predators that could literally jog prey to heatstroke. Add opposable thumbs, a willingness to eat basically anything, and a truly unhinged capacity to migrate into every biome on Earth and adapt culturally faster than we had to adapt genetically, and the picture flips: we're not smart enough to avoid inventing leaded gasoline, but we're exactly smart enough, in groups, over time, to out-scheme every other large animal on the planet. The individual idiot is carried by the collective cleverness — which, depending on your mood, is either deeply reassuring or deeply alarming.

More Cybersmith lore
Releasing the minions into the 40k verse and watching them be paralysed by choice.
A cropped screenshot of a tumblr post. The account thecybersmith (dated February 8th, 2018) reblogs with comment “I called Joan Of Arc a war criminal for her use of illegal combatants. She was a war criminal for the same reason Joseph Kony was a war criminal. A military commander who knowingly recruits an ineligible person to serve (such as a child, or an invalid), is committing a war crime.” Academiemelusine reblogs with comment “And could you remind us all who exactly the illegal combatant was that Joan of Arc recruited?” Thecybersmith reblogs with comment “Herself, of course”
Oh right and there was that time he called Joan of Arc a war criminal
