costs to self-publish are rising
Self publishers raised min price/book. One charges $12 maintenance / year.
I had to raise the price I sell my paperbacks at. You can get a discount by buying 10 or more paperbacks from me at a time (so long as the postage isn't too much).

There is a change in point of view. I found a creative way to leave that in.
I mention things before they happen.
The main character is learning to speak. Words are used before he learns them.
