Tiny Blue Tit surrounded by twigs full of Hazel catkins. It was very high, a test of my ability to hold camera & lens steady, and a test of the camera's ability to find and lock on to the little bird. OM1ii's auto focus did a pretty good job I think and stayed locked on even when a second bird arrived.

Daft play time, but why not? A row of trees on Millennium Fields, Fulford, York. 1/1250 second f8 ISO-800 graduated neutral density level 8, soft and vertical, just to see what it would look like! On the left it's dark and on the right its' just as it actually was.

Looking towards Millennium Bridge from the centre of the field, goal posts on the right, a tall red crane along the right margin and the bridge one third up and the same from the left side. Grass is mostly green, tree line quite dark, sky fairly dark blue with heavy grey clouds. 1/4000 f4.8 ISO-640 GND8-soft horizontal

Same scene except I missed the crane this time. 1/4000sec f5 ISO-500 GND2- soft horizontal. The sky looks more natural, clouds still grey, but the colour they were. Tree line lighter. Altogether a more natural looking image. I can only learn by playing, each time I use the filters I will have a better understanding of how to use them to maximum effect.
