Dusk on Christmas eve. A boy stands outside in the snow, outside a barn with light pouring out the open front door, looking up at the roof. Looming above him, a large dark figure with horns and red glowing eyes stares down at him.

WHO ARE YOU????
90s Nostalgia Doctor. A doctor points to a CE scan and says I'm sorry Mr. Kkowalski, but you have a brain tumor." He solemnly winces "she's lump." He dispassionately explains "she's lump..." He points to Mr. Kowalski's forehead and says "she's in your head..."

I just really wanna know how my girl could have scars like that. Is she part undead with untapped potential or did she just narrowly avoid death with the power of necromantic healing and a bit of electricity? I NEED TO KNOW BIOWARE!!
Well, thread over for the time being unless I think of more lol
We know there are still traditional forms of medicine with bandaging, stitching, bed rest, etc. But what about if somebody's heart stops beating, do they call it immediately? Does necromancy allow for more advanced healing? Could it be used to keep the soul tethered to avoid full on death?
I feel like I haven't been able to find any posts discussing this at length, but it's really eating my brain up! Are there ways to bring somebody back after passing? If somebody is bleeding out, would we resort to blood magic to gather it and maybe even keep it flowing as the body is mended?
We've seen this before with Leliana, if you kill her in origins she still shows up in 2 and inquisition, saying she woke up some time after that and believed the maker brought her back. But this is NEVER addressed again, does the info in veilguard retcon this?
But the implications of Lichdom in Emmrich's quest (and the issue with his partially undead old partner) have me questioning that. I haven't actually finished the game, but now I'm wondering how that affects the concept of resurrection in general-
When I picked those scars I started to craft a whole internal canon where Talia was gravely injured during the events of the undead civil war, and that she'd been pieced back together and brought back because her caregiver couldn't accept her passing despite the nature of the mourn watch-
My Rook Talia is full on Frankenstein's Monster. She has the Y chest scar, looks like a chunk of her face had to be re-attatched, as well as her right leg/knee, her left foot, and her left hand. She even has the circle scars on her neck where the electric probes would be. This girl got FUCKED up.
Okay I need to ramble about this SOMEWHERE so ig it'll be here. I'm thinking far too much about the implications of the body scars I chose for my Rook.
!!Cw for partial nudity, as well as spoilers for Emmrich's personal quests from Dragon Age: the Veilguard in the thread!!
