The question is, which #28 comes first?

In terms of max EV and hard hit rate, Yandy is in the same group (a bit higher than Caminero, a bit lower than Vlad on both counts). The early barrel rate keeps me hopeful, though, and the age of course.

That would make sense, though I would expect the effect would have been negated after the shift bans.

Whatever the cause of that may be, though, Tropicana to Yankee Stadium is a big drop off. I imagine Steinbrenner Field’s climate helps some, but BABIP over the last ten and five seasons:

That’s was my thought - that said, something interesting is that the Trop has been less favorable than it used to be on grounders in general over the past few years. Still favorable, but I’m not sure why that would be the case.

@enosarris.bsky.social @dvr.bsky.social was thinking about this after listening to the most recent episode. It might make Yandy even lower in the 1B discussion. Probably the first time I’m lower on Yandy than the field.

Not sure how concerned I should be for Junior Caminero.

Something I’m thinking about heading into this season is a probably underrated park factor change for Rays hitters.
