Yes, indeed! He’s used to keeping Peter warm in other ways—like with a delicious meal or a cozy blanket—but this method is entirely new to him, and he’s diving into it with total enthusiasm :'D Thank you! ☺️🩵

🥹🩵 They were my motivation to keep drawing even under piles of work tbh...

After suffering from hypothermia, Hogan has become far more sensitive to the cold and finds it harder to shake the chill off by himself. Fortunately, Björn is like a walking fire, and he has enough heat to share.

A manuscript page of a Carthusian monk on his knees (Claude) in awe before a woman (Julia) wearing a blue and gold cape, and a crown of twelve stars. There are illuminations in red and gold on a blue and ochre background. The text of the chant Signum Magnum appears in the background.
“A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head.”
Claude takes poor decisions…
Thank you so much! ☺️🩵 They were a challenge to draw, but I'm pretty happy with the result!
Despite these issues, he works hard to compensate for his physical limitations through training. He’s surprisingly strong, wiry, fast, and resilient.
Since he suffered from phlegmon and developed a contracture at a young age, it inevitably affected his posture. Now, Hogan has mild scoliosis and hypertonicity in his left trapezius, which results in that slight hump you can see on his shoulder.

(The scars at the corners of the mouth become firmer as they heal and might make it harder to speak clearly, so they need to be massaged.)

He definitely needs a break 🥹
The scars at the corners of his mouth and the marks on his cheeks are from that specific gag—it was a sturdy leather belt.
On the bright side: I’ve decided Peter has suffered enough, so the old drawings where he has a missing tooth are no longer canon ✌️🥹
It’s hard to explain without context, but... there’s an episode where he nearly destroys a monastery during a fit of madness. Kelly ends up throwing him into a cellar and gagging him so his moans and screams won’t disturb the monks.

Fortunately, Björn finds him in time. The artisan has to warm his friend by all available means — with his own body, with blankets, and with oatmeal gruel laced with healing herbs and a couple of drops of honey.
In the later part of the story, Hogan suffers from Alba's curse, which affects his mind and sleep. During one of his sleepwalking episodes, he leaves the house wearing only a nightshirt on a cold and damp Irish night and nearly meets the same death as his mother.

Yes!! The lore goes on! 💪😌
Björn was born on a ship during a storm. The labour was difficult, and there were injuries. Hilda can no longer have children. Despite the reserved and stern temperament of both parents, they tried to instill in their long-awaited and only son all the best that was in them.
Hilda found him and nursed him back to health, despite the fact that he belonged to the enemy army. He stayed with her for many years, until the threat of a new war forced them both to flee to Ireland.
During the siege of a fortress in Norway, in the course of another Danish sortie, he was wounded in the leg by grapeshot and miraculously made it off the battlefield alive.
Björn is the son of stonemason, carpenter, and engineer Diarmaid MacLaughlin and seamstress and healer Hilda Sverresdatter. At age 20, Diarmaid was an Irish mercenary in the Swedish army during the Kalmar War and, as an engineer, was involved in the construction of fortifications and trenches.
