Other than the heaviness of the carriage (which could just be my machine) and the small round keys, this is a good typer. I’ve put pages and pages into it, and it only ever fails when I fail first.

Work has begun on the Silent-Super I picked up before Christmas. I don’t know what was on the keys (see 2nd picture for an example). It was stubborn, but Simple Green, willpower, and two episodes of Bob’s Burgers got them looking good.

After a long week, we had a wonderful day trip to Rochester where I picked up a 1956 Olympia SM3 for $35. I named it Andrew after my buddy Drew, because his surname was on a piece of masking tape stuck to the case.
