As someone who did FSAE in the early 90s when it was 99% tube frames, it blows my mind that they’re now making carbon fiber tubs. So awesome.

As an Indy fan for 30+ years, Fox could bring back Bob Varsha as a commentator and I still wouldn’t pay $90/month. Hopefully Fox and/or IndyCar is working on a reasonably priced streaming option for cord cutters.

Although the Venu deal imploding kills streaming for a lot of other sports - so hopefully Fox is working on some sort of cord-cutter streaming solution.

I remember being annoyed when F1TV went from about $50 to $80 the other year (maybe that was a trial rate?) but considering the number of hours I watch it, it’s a bargain.

That’s interesting- I didn’t realize IndyCar already had a streaming system for other countries. I’ll also bet the Fox deal precludes the use of it in the US, unfortunately

As a “cord cutter” I’m not sure how I’m going to follow IndyCar this year - maybe YouTube highlights?

Wow - what a cluster with Venu being cancelled. I think I pay $100/year for Peacock with no ads - it was such a great way to watch every IndyCar session. When the Fox/Venu deal was announced I decided I wasn’t going to pay $42/month.

F1TV is a bargain at $80/year.

Apart from the Duracell battery, Williams liveries have been pretty bland the past few years - just a generic blue car. Hopefully this means they’ve got something interesting planned this season.
