That isn't a description I've heard before, and feels too joyful even if cleaning up glitter is a massive pain, but I appreciate the visual of the metaphor and share my condolences for your loss. Years out from first losing my mom, and the grief still can overwhelm in waves.

We read it for our local book club last year, and it was really great for provoking discussion as it raises so many interesting questions!

Our rescues were both abandoned for various reasons we can guess at, but they are the sweetest and cutest bully buddies. Play hard, cuddle hard is their motto. The 65 lb lap dogs we didn't know we needed, who also love a space heater. ❤️
