Think you're posting about your books too much?

First of all, no you're not.

The most insanely online people (talking about myself here) don't see nearly enough book promo.

Secondly, if someone is annoyed by it they're just a scold who wouldn't buy your book anyway. Carry on, you're good.

This could have been today's message from the White House if this country wasn't so racist and misogynistic.

“Let those who have weapons lay them down. Let those who have the power to unleash wars choose peace. Not a peace pursued by force, but through dialogue. Not with the desire to dominate the other, but to encounter them.” — Pope Leo XIV

The biggest story in the world right now is that the president of the United States is a demented old man who takes pleasure in torturing and killing people and is committing crimes with impunity. And yet most legacy media outlets are too cowardly to tell it like it is.

It would take only a handful of Republicans to step onto the right side of history and stop this madness. They would be remembered well. It's right there for the taking.

Yep. The US’s most influential people have spent thirty years (since Rush Limbaugh) prioritizing anything that would get attention, regardless of whether it was rational, moral or even factually correct. Attention trumped all else (pun intended). And what we have now is the inevitable result.

I think the opposition party widely expected to make historic gains in the next election(s) has an obligation to explain how they'll stop this and prevent it from happening again or it's reasonable to conclude they don't plan on doing those things, which raises more uncomfortable questions

The White House App Is Riddled With Cybersecurity Vulnerabilities Cybersecurity experts’ reviews of the app have turned up concerns about the undisclosed data it collects.

The Trump White House app is riddled with vulnerabilities:

Cybersecurity researchers warn that the app regularly shares users' IP addresses, time zones and other data to third-party services.

Most of its users wouldn't know that, because the app doesn't disclose its data sharing like others do.

Just to focus in on mental stability. Trump has oscillated btw strait doesn’t matter to I’ll annihilate your country if you don’t open it maybe three times in the last ten days. Has also repeatedly given war crimes deadlines which he then “postpones” based on encouraging talks which never happened.

This is an actual post. This is not funny. This is beyond desperate. This is a deeply unwell man who doesn’t belong anywhere near the levers of power. Every member of his cabinet and Congress is complicit in not demanding his removal now.

If I were in Trump's Cabinet, I would spend Easter calling constitutional lawyers about the 25th Amendment.

This is completely, utterly unhinged. He's already killed thousands. He's going to kill thousands more.

NYT: President Trump on Sunday escalated his threats to bomb Iranian power plants within the next two days and taunted the country’s leaders in an expletive-laden social media post.

Mr. Trump, seemingly emboldened by the successful U.S. rescue of an American airman in Iran over the weekend, issued a new ultimatum to Iran to end its chokehold over the Strait of Hormuz, a major Persian Gulf waterway for the transport of oil and gas, by Apr. 6.

If Iran’s government did not, he said, U.S. forces would target the country’s energy infrastructure, which supplies power for millions of civilians.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!” Mr. Trump wrote on social media. The president has previously postponed his deadline to attack twice and the Omani foreign ministry said on Sunday that officials had discussed how to reopen the Strait of Hormuz with Iranian counterparts without reaching a definitive agreement.

“Praise be to Allah,” Mr. Trump added, before signing off in all caps.

“Mr. Trump issued a new ultimatum to Iran to end its chokehold over the Strait of Hormuz”

“I will NOT sacrifice the Oxford comma. We've made too many compromises already; too many retreats. They assimilate the em dash and we fall back. They capture ‘not just X but y’ and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here! This far, no further!”

If you worked hard on something and want people to know about, you've got to speak up.

There's like a three-week window when a new book comes out where you get a lot of attention and there is no shame in basking in every bit of it. You earned it.

In other news, there is nothing better than coming home to two dogs who believed you might have gone away forever and want to smother you with doggie kisses for thirty minutes for not having gone away forever after all.

The absolute best.

Hegseth fired generals who insisted that military leaders who had demonstrated long records of exemplary service deserved promotion.

For all the bitching about "DEI," what these failsons and Fox News castoffs all really hate is an actual meritocracy, where people are rewarded for their hard work
