New paper out: this is the 3rd ch. from my M.Sc.-thesis that started in 2019! How did the toxin glands as well as the composition of the toxins secreted from these glands change after an African toad invaded novel ranges and what are potential drivers of these changes?

Today Nordea voted to continue financing new oil from the Arctic.

Nordea's claim to be a sustainability leader has watered down - they not only continue to be the biggest investor in fossil fuel companies in Finland but also retracted from their climate pledges.

Our polar coalition is not happy.

The photo shows the cover of the nature journal, displaying a colorful moth sitting on moss. The caption says: Heat Sensitive. Tropical insects show limited ability to cope with a warming world.

Really happy that a moth made it to the cover of @nature.com! Thanks to my co-author Gunnar Brehm for this great photo 📸

✴️ NEW PAPER! ✴️ In the beautiful Caucasian mountains of 🇬🇪 lives a moth whose wing colour variation (🔴🟠🟡) has intrigued us for ages. Here (doi.org/10.1111/1744...), we studied whether such variation is associated with 🧬 structure or other traits such as size. (1/3)

We disrupted Nordea
General Meeting while they were voting against the resolution to stop funding fossil fuel expansion.

Nordea is still NOT listening to the Science. Fossil fuels must stay in the ground.

Great kick-off by my team @aplantaginis.bsky.social at #OIKOSFin25! 🎉 @zowioudendijk.bsky.social shared fascinating insights on the evolution of reflex bleeding in Arctiinae, and @theobrown.bsky.social made a compelling case for 'why to pay to be lazy'(—if you’re a toxic butterfly!) 🦋🔥

Gestern habe ich Europas 1. Solar-Radweg besucht.
