Spatial and temporal changes in the expression of steroid hormone receptors in mouse model of endometriosis Endometriosis is recognized as a steroid hormone-dependent disorder. However, controversies exist regarding the status of the steroid hormone receptor expression in endometriotic tissues. The purpose of this study was to determine the ontogeny of ...

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month
Much of our knowledge on endometriosis also comes from animal models.
Our work and others show
Hormonal resistance, persistent inflammation and fibrosis as the key.

Implantation is not just attachment—it’s a coordinated cellular dialogue between embryo and endometrium.
We are only beginning to understand its complexity.

#Endometriosis is one of the most misunderstood disorders in reproductive health.
Despite affecting millions, we still: Diagnose it late
Treat symptoms and not causes and this is not just a clinical problem it is a scientific gap.

2 new studies from the lab show that early pregnancy needs inflammation but only briefly. When uterine inflammation does not activate in time, implantation fails and if prolongs pregnancy is lost.

The IBEX KB provides several ways to contribute and use data.

The IBEX Knowledge-Base is setting a new standard for reproducibility in #immunofluorescence imaging: open, community-driven, and with ‘exceptional’ evidence of its utility.

It’s now up to the community to contribute to its growth.

Genome Shows no Recent Inbreeding in Near-Extinction Woolly Rhinoceros Sample Found in Ancient Wolf's Stomach Using temporarily spaced high-coverage ancient genomes, we can assess population decline prior to extinction. However, finding suitable ancient remains for recovering this type of data is challenging. Here, we sequenced a high-coverage genome from ...

Woolly Rhino was not experiencing population decline prior to its rapid extinction ~14,000 years ago, based on DNA recovered from mummified wolf stomach in Siberian permafrost. Instead, extinction likely due to rapid environmental change.

Exclusive: the most-cited papers of the twenty-first century A Nature analysis reveals the 25 highest-cited papers published this century and explores why they are breaking records.

Techniques, methods papers and software papers are bound to be higher on scoreboards and there are no prizes for guessing that. For which direction the science is moving .. ideal would be to look at highly cited original papers and look at field normalised citations.
