The key thing for me is CHOICE. No two drivers are the same, and it’s a patchwork of needs right now, so it makes sense to offer everything possible.

You’d think it would *all* be Contactless card, but it’s actually a shrinking share for us.

Whilst I *completely* agree with you, it was charging faster than me!

Would I buy one? No. Would I recommend one? No. Do I think they’re a good taste of EV? No.

…But is it one less mile driven on a combustion engine? Yeah, and if it helps some people as a stepping stone then I can’t be too mad.

If you’re interested, this Tiguan has a 19.7kWh battery giving (supposedly) 77 miles which can charge at 40kW, 5-80% in 26 minutes.

10-80% in just 23 minutes (even at only 141kW max as we’re 375A limited) ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Perfect conditions – preheated for 40-minutes and rolled in at 6%, 3°C ambient kept everything cool.
