Climate Minister @chrisbowenmp.bsky.social is all mixed up.

He's got dirty fossil gas in the 'ins' column and ultra-clean nuclear energy in the 'outs' 'column'.

Sign our petition asking him to fix that:

"Help me" - Liberal Senator Andrew McLachlan.

Senator Andrew McLachlan asked if all this disinformation on climate change is occurring, why isn't my party in government?

Ironically acknowledging that his party represents an anti-scientific policy agenda on climate change & often on energy.

Veteran financial journalist Alan Kohler captures the reality: if Australia is serious about growing the economy, protecting our standard of living, and tackling the climate crisis, the Albanese government must put dogma and politics aside and finally accept nuclear energy as part of the solution.

Olkilouto could power roughly 5 million Aussie homes each day - emissions free.

The first 2 reactors began operating in 1979 & 1982. For over 40 years they've been providing clean energy. Planned to operate until 2038, with plans to extend that further.

Nuclear offers decades of clean energy.

Here's @andrealeong.bsky.social report back on tasting the future of food.

Cultivated meat allows us to enjoy the foods we love without needing to slaughter animals - reducing animal suffering, environmental impacts, and threats to public health such as animal borne diseases like bird flu.

"Carbon Colonialism" EXPOSED: The Global North’s Dirty Secret
"Carbon Colonialism" EXPOSED: The Global North’s Dirty Secret YouTube video by WePlanet

While the Global North expands fossil fuels for its citizens, it pressures development banks to block financing for LPG, a fossil fuel that could provide clean cooking for millions of the world’s poorest people who lack electricity. This is an injustice!

Why is the National Party attacking Aussie innovation and people's right to choose what they eat?

David Littleproud MP is targeting cultivated meat – a safe, science-backed way to produce real meat without harming animals or the planet. It’s a step forward, not a threat.

"Carbon Colonialism" EXPOSED: The Global North’s Dirty Secret YouTube video by WePlanet

A great injustice is being committed against the world’s poorest people. It is disguised as climate action, but in truth, it is a new chapter in the Global North’s long history of colonial domination.

Six Minutes to End Civilization In a world armed to the teeth and governed by split-second decisions, a new book makes a chilling argument for total nuclear disarmament—before it’s too late.

Data centres are power hungry, requiring firm, reliable 24/7 power.

That’s why major tech companies, including Microsoft, Apple & Amazon, are investing in nuclear energy to power their data centres.

Tell @albomp.bsky.social to lift the ban.

Hey @albomp.bsky.social, this is what a progressive, socially just energy transition looks like.

UK Labour have made a major commitmentment to fund a 3.2GW nuclear plant to provide clean, affordable energy to millions of households.

I don't think we should ban deep sea mining, as there may be circumstances where it does prove to be less environmentally impactful, however there should be proper global governance &safeguards to ensure we don't see unregulated exploitation & destruction of our oceans.

Australia has a ban on nuclear energy! Given the climate crisis this ban is morally unjustifiable. Tell Australia Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and his Energy Minister Chris Bowen, to scrap Australia's nuclear ban - now.

We should lift the ban on nuclear energy to give ourselves more clean energy options to help us phase-out fossil fuels.

The NEM last night was 75% fossil fuels, even with >1GW of battery discharge (Dark Blue).

I won't pretend nuclear will solve our problems this side of 2040, but the variability of wind & solar puts our climate goals at risk, especially as demand for electricity rises as we electrify our economy.

When someone tells you who they are, believe them.

Labor have repeatedly told us they don’t support nuclear energy, and that they instead support the continued use of climate-wrecking gas until 2050 and beyond.

Here's Minister @chrisbowenmp.bsky.social in 2023.

The nature of agriculture has always left it vulnerable to the weather. As our climate changes, we are seeing an increase in severe weather events, such as droughts and floods, that are impacting farmers and our food security.

Dimming the Sun?! - STWF Bad Ideas ep 9 ft Cynthia Scharf YouTube video by WePlanet

As the world hurtles towards 3 degrees of warming, should we be seriously considering solar geoengineering?

And if we don’t, is there a risk that governments or corporations will act independently, without proper consideration of the consequences?

I'm alive today thanks to the life support provided to me as a premature baby.

In a just society, faced by a changing climate, we must strengthen our civilisational life support system & ensure all people have equal access.

Publicly owned nuclear contributes to this goal.

It may not have been obvious in the documentary, but I fundementally align with the left at my core.

The modern welfare state is why I am even alive today & helps deliver the most socially just society.

Nuclear's steadfast clean, reliable energy is emblematic of this society.
