What to Build, 001: Attention provenance When building is easy, goals matter immensely

You should be able to see where your attention goes & who profits. Attention provenance is a budget tracker for the new economy - and could win over people who've (rightfully) soured on AI.

A prominent publication finally calls out the potential dangers and abuses of home schooling. I hope this sparks more conversation about basic checks to ensure students are treated well, learning appropriately - and able to access peers and community resources.

Home cooking that turned out:

- Mac n cheese + broccoli, bacon, and onions

- Sheet pan nachos with beef, cheese, peppers, and onions

- BLTs. Finally perfected oven bacon (start cold on a rack, bake at 350 for 20+ minutes until crispy)

In late 2020 and 2021, Trump-aligned operatives illegally gained access to voting equipment, software, and data. This was part of a multi-state effort now considered "the most severe election security breach publicly known." (1/15)

I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.
