It’s long past time for US media to stop credulously using variants of “alleged drug boats” about the targets of these murderous attacks. Reject the White House’s disingenuous framing! The burden of proof has always been on them and it’s a journalistic crime to amplify their transparent lies.

A New Jersey data center will reportedly receive $77 million in tax breaks — while only creating one permanent job.
One job, in exchange for higher utility bills, noise pollution, and potential groundwater pollution.
Is it any wonder communities are organizing to stop data centers?
This is monstrous. Just profoundly shameful behavior by our government.

Look at this chart.
Tax cuts for the rich are a policy choice. Cutting the social safety net in exchange for them is a policy choice.
States like New York have an opportunity to help undo this trickle down nonsense by raising taxes on the rich (who will still be rich).
I hope Gov. Hochul does.
White House Collaborator's Dinner
This administration really is speed-running the greatest hits of the 19th and 20th century that gave rise to the Great Depression. Today, they’re bringing back the conditions of transmission of the deadly 1917 flu!
"Sorry, I'm trying to keep politics out of my political confirmation because Trump wants me for my politics in the Federal Reserve."
"This all could have been avoided if Trump had just stayed in the JCPOA...but it was Obama’s brainchild, which meant it had to be torn up, simply because Trump is such an insanely insecure and vindictive man."

The man who introduced obligatory vaccinations to the US Army was George Washington.
Trump pardons allies who boost his crypto coin.
Trump invests in corporations that he's supposed to be regulating.
Trump cuts deals with autocrats to advance his family's real estate business.
The list goes on.
We must not become numb to this corruption.
Simple rule: the Senate should not confirm any appointee to any post who can’t say clearly who legitimately won the 2020 presidential election. Not just who was “installed”, but who won the vote and the electoral college.
If not for Trump, what's the emoluments clause for? What's impeachment for? What's the 25th Amendment for? What's section 3 of the 14th Amendment for? What are checks and balances for?
The baddies are cherrypicking the Constitution the same way they do the bible: for their own benefit.
If you attend the White House Correspondents Dinner this year, you should be legally barred from using the term "journalist" to describe yourself from that point on.
The Democratic Party is still searching for its identity in this century (which is sad). There is still time for the party to advance the basic precept that it does not give campaign money to, or promote doing business with, obvious sociopaths. This is not a particularly big ask.
Conservatives think the state should protect them from the traumatizing experience of encountering people unlike them. For some reason this never came up in the heyday of “snowflake,” “trigger warning” or “safe space” discourse bsky.app/profile/kiss...
Seems to me like Trump is desperately begging Iran to sign a replica of the Obama JCPOA he tore up. All for the low low price of thousands dead, global instability, high energy prices, and a toll on ships through the once-free strait of Hormuz.
"Democrats need to break from this path and acknowledge that billionaires—especially those in the increasingly antidemocratic tech sector—are never going to side with them over the GOP." From @alexisgoldstein.bsky.social newrepublic.com/article/2087...
Clarence Thomas ruled in favor of Citizens United.
Harlan Crow's political contributions then went up 862%.
Then we later find out Thomas let Crow take him on lavish trips, buy his mom's house, and help fund his wife's conservative nonprofit.
But go on about how "progressivism" is a problem...
Trump did this, singlehandedly. And Congress didn't even want to debate it. But the consequences of this viral outbreak of pointless militarization will be calamitous for the entire planet.
Trump has launched three more boat strikes this week, bringing the total death toll to 177.
Remember: No judge or jury has found these boats were trafficking drugs. We're taking Trump's word for it.
This is murder. We must not lose sight of this lawlessness.
Vance, Witkoff, Kushner—It's not simply that they're not effective diplomats, nor diplomats of any sort... it's that they're out for private game and in the process are creating misery for tens of millions and leading the world towards catastrophic destruction. time.com/article/2026...
no consequences—>more crimes
Franklin Graham’s role, along with political pastors like him since 2016, is to convince evangelicals that the blasphemous and sinful things Trump does on a daily basis really aren’t blasphemous and sinful. Trump couldn’t care less about religion or these people, he uses and mocks them.
The US supported, and the world tolerated, the ethnic cleansing and erasure of north Gaza. That is now the model for south Lebanon. No consequences for crimes against humanity will lead to more and more of the same. www.bbc.com/news/article...
Barrera said her husband said the smell of human feces in the toilet caused a fellow detainee to vomit and, in turn, created a chain of people vomiting. She said her husband is asthmatic and has not received medication to treat his condition. The lack of medicine and the stress of the overcrowded holding cell has left him short of breath and teetering on the edge of an asthma attack, Barrera said. ICE did not immediately respond to questions on April 10 about the conditions of the Mesa or Phoenix facilities. After the publication of this article, Barrera told The Arizona Republic her husband was transferred to the ICE facility at San Luis Regional Detention Center at about midnight. The San Luis Regional Detention Center is in Southwestern Arizona and has the capacity to hold 700 people.
This is horrific. A U.S. citizen describes the facility in Arizona that her husband was brought to while he waited to be put on a deportation flight. Dozens of people were crammed into tiny cells, there was a "chain of people vomiting" from filthy toilets, no medical care, and only one meal per day.
Democratic Senator Mazie Hirono names the people who have been pardoned by Donald Trump after they have donated to support his campaign and PACs in the Senate hearing on fraud.
"I call it corruption."
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Things are finally changing. Let's keep pushing and push harder. And let's also not miss the fact that it took a horrific genocide and a disastrous war for so many of our neighbors to start dealing with reality.
THE SENATE IS VOTING ON THE BOUNDARY WATERS RIGHT NOW!
Tonight, while most people are watching TV or putting their kids to bed, the U.S. Senate is taking a vote that could permanently end protections for one of the most beloved wilderness areas in America.
You all realize that the self driving cabs are just stealing cash from the lost financially vulnerable people in society and consolidating it with the richest .1%, right? Think about that when you jump on the Waymo bandwagon.
