Absolutely - great work.

Got a good potential case study here.

Campaigners call for right to roam on edges of private farmland in England Group says people in rural areas have to walk on roads without pavement, which can be very dangerous

And then when coordinated with the work of @righttoroam.bsky.social and @slowwaysuk.bsky.social - momentum for equitable and fair access is building. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Oh this is good.

And yes, hard is right. But also beautiful.

The ‘best’ essay I wrote in graduate school was where I applied (criminal psychologist) Lonnie Athens’ theory of ‘violentizarion’ to Macbeth. Fun times.

Frequent, light, open, warm/cool, dog-friendly, bike-friendly. If you’ve got a better line, I’d like to ride it.

From Richmond Park to the Olympic Park, via Hampstead Heath. The Thames to the Lea, via the Grand Union. More markets than you can shake a stick at. Some of London’s bookshops and pubs.

There is no better train line in the country than the Mildmay Overground line between Clapham/Richmond to Stratford. I’ve sworn that I’ll never live more than a ten min cycle ride from it.

Yep, this is excellent. Presumably it includes this one at Old Compton St and Wardour Street? Great to see but hopefully just a precursor to removing motor traffic from the neighbourhood!

Casper - I have gifted and recommended A Book of Noises more than any other book this year. From my mate who cuts my hair to an Italian academic focused on the social life of streets. It’s a truly deserving of top spot.

Right, let’s do this. Might it be easier if you DM me your email? I can then send over some dates.

I was in Cambridgeshire for a workshop on ways to improve rural roads for walking, wheeling, and cycling. Back at Finsbury Park we splintered to the four corners of London - travelling conveniently, safely, sustainably and efficiently via public transport and cycling. What a city. @london.gov.uk

Counter's Creek - Wikipedia

I once had a hospital appointment at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital that I was nervous about, so I decided to walk there from my house following river paths. Chelsea Creek was my last river-side section. It’s what remains of the lost Counter's Creek. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter...

No way!! Ok - that’s really interesting, I know about Counters Creek. How brilliant. Thanks, Dee Dee.

When you Google ‘Chelsea Creek’, it appears to have be co-opted by developers to sell luxury flats.

Had to go to Imperial Wharf for something. What an odd, soulless place. Although Chelsea Creek looked interesting. Anyone know anything about it?
