Swimming is single file a greylag goose for 4 goslings and a second adult goose bringing up the rear. Gentle early summer light gives blue lake water and and nice feather detail on the birds. A gentle breeze ruffles the water turning the reflections of the birds into stripes

A Starling, wings poised and feet stretched forward, is perfectly captured in mid-flight as it swoops towards a wooden perch. Its iridescent plumage glimmers with hints of green and purple, speckled with tiny white dots. The intensity of its focus and the blur of motion in its wings give this bird an air of determination, as if it’s on a very important mission.

What a magnificent bird Richard!
The Crested Caracara has to be one of my favourites birds of prey so far in Costa Rica.
I managed to get myself down low to create a nice diffused foreground and background allowing me to concentrate the bird as the focal point.
