OK the result was 0-0 but it was a lot of fun.

They say never meet your heroes.

Well I say to anyone who thinks the: get better heroes and then meet the hell out of them.

Just finalised my guide questions for my conversation with Neil Kinnock tomorrow (live only for Friends of @labourlist.bsky.social & @thefabians.bsky.social ) I’ve filled a page of A4 but could have written 4 times that. It’s going to be fascinating.

There is a fascinating piece to be written about the more poetic parts of the take off and landing scripts on space missions. Who writes them, who signs them off and what are the small and big ‘p’ politics involved?

🌹 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 LabourList has just caught up with Anas Sarwar, (hopefully) Scotland's next First Minister 🤞

🔴 Stay tuned for our interview with him as Scottish Labour unveils its campaign battle bus...

God I cried so much. To this day whenever people talk about a meteor killing the dinosaurs I remember this.

I enjoyed writing this because it combined my skills of blending exasperation with optimism, political analysis and music based punning.

This is a great idea. NIMBYs will, of course, oppose. But young people need this provision so councils must ignore them.

The latter should be called ‘The Teri Garr award’.

For the life of me I cannot understand the appeal of a movie marathon at a cinema. I try so hard to understand other points of view, perspectives, tastes, hobbies etc. but this one is lost on me.

Again there seems to be a comprehension error here. It’s not personal to try to explain to the difference between *I want* and *I don’t want* and as a person seeking election you really *really* ought to be able to tell the difference.

No mate. You shared some things you don’t want. It’s quite sad you don’t know the difference.

I’m saying that whatever it is you want to do you seem to be incapable of sharing it. If you were suggesting the solution to the real or imagined problem of over privileged MPs was having them be eaten by pink zebras, that would be more of a solution than you are currently articulating.

Literally none of that is what you want to do. It’s a somewhat inaccurate critique of what you believe to exist now with not a sink solution - workable or unworkable- offered.

Best side effect of the Artemis launch is that I have been humming Tom Lehrer all day.

A lot of the cast response seemed worded to mourn the Nicky the once knew and the potential he once held. Which is probably where fans like myself have landed too. The whole thing is sad as hell.

No it was very specifically some grim stuff that fell in my hair wading under a bridge. I’ve dreamed about being on and in the river Lea constantly throughout my life. This is the first time I’ve smelled it!

Oh it definitely did. It just never has before.

I’m 51 years old and last night, for what I think is the first time in my life, I had a dream with smells in it. A very strong smell (and no, it wasn’t in my flat when I woke up). Is this normal? Is this how everyone else has been dreaming all this time?

I read somewhere that you are much more likely to cry on planes. I certainly sobbed my heart out watching Moonlight on a plane once.
