I mean, we should all take some Homer with us to the afterlife, just in case we need a little epic reading while cruising on the Styx.

For many Asian economies, the Iran conflict has already done lasting damage to the reputation of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as an affordable, secure resource for long-term energy sector development.

The hungry red panda at the Prospect Park Zoo? Adorable.

The HungryPanda delivery app scamming small businesses? Not adorable. So they will be paying $580,000 back.

We'll keep pursuing companies that take advantage of New Yorkers, and we'll keep asking if we can pet a red panda just for a second.

In a first, renewables beat natural gas on US grid last month It’s just one month, but it’s a sign of where the U.S. is headed as renewable energy — namely solar — surges onto the grid.

The suspension of gas taxes in Georgia through mid-May is expected to cost just under $400 million, the state’s house speaker Jon Burns said in a statement. For Utah, which proposed the holiday amid affordability concerns even before the Iran war, its law discounting the gas tax from July 1 through the end of the year will cost the state about $12 million, according to the legislation.

Canceling gas taxes, meanwhile, is also self-defeating because it just encourages people to burn more of the stuff, while also costing you *millions* in revenue

How can LNG imports affect electricity prices in the Philippines? The Philippines has the second highest electricity prices in Southeast Asia. A significant reason is due to its imports of liquified natural gas (LNG), a costly and expensive energy source.

I am super fortunate to work at a place that is letting me take a personal leave for three months. But that doesn't mean the work stops. We are hiring a climate reporter to fill in while i'm out! Apps close April 15th!

The video of this meeting is so weird. They're clearly in a tiny corner of a big hall or something.
It also shouldn't be so easy to condemn living beings to destruction.

Does anyone have updates on Colombia's draft law to “recognize the existence of forced internal displacement due to causes associated with climate change and environmental degradation"? Did it ever pass or has it stalled?

The Jones Act and the Cost of Shipping Between U.S. Ports (UPDATED) | Econofact The Jones Act has been temporarily waived amid the spike in oil prices. The effects of the Act in times of crisis highlight a more general consequence of protectionist policies: they benefit a few pro...

Waiving the Jones Act will only offer small savings on gas prices – Dan and Marc cite research that estimates the savings would be $0.63 per barrel – which translates to less than 2 cents per gallon.

When I joined the climate comms world exactly a decade ago, a major campaign was to get journalists to stop the "both-sides" journalism and stop platforming climate deniers. They mostly don't do that anymore. To me, this is a version of that.

What oil actually costs The market price of oil has never reflected its true cost. This week made that impossible to ignore.

At an energy conference on Monday, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum said, "The era of taxpayers subsidizing unreliable, unaffordable and unsecure energy is officially over.”

Hours later, one of America’s largest oil refineries exploded.
