So many organisations closing at the moment :( was sad to read about Inspiring Stories just now - who run the annual Festival for the Future conference. They gave me my first really big speaking opportunity in 2012 when PledgeMe started (📸 below). Sending hugs to their whole team past & present.
Ha ha - all of these are good research questions. (And thanks for the tip!!)
Has anyone figured out why toddlers like sleeping horizontally across their parent’s bed? Asking for me.
Helen’s passing hit me really hard too. Gone too young, and too senselessly. We gotta listen to women.
I have not - but will check it out :)
Thank you! Gonna check this out :)

Baby with their book flood haul.
Preparing for our 2nd annual Book Flood (the Icelandic tradition of giving books the night before Christmas and then quietly reading them while drinking nice drinks & eating snacks). But I need some book recommendations for toddlers & people who like science fiction & ethical business. Any ideas?
Let’s support Māori Creators & Businesses coming up to Christmas (and always). Following is a thread of amazing Māori creatives, please browse all links, but more importantly SHARE THIS POST!

Gosh this is gonna piss off the haka police. ✊🏽

Tbh I had to look up the definition and it made me laugh - it’s root is Latin for enemy, but last week one of my friends explained to me the word in Māori for enemy is “angry friend” which felt very right.
Image shows a picture of the Wellington waterfront with a heart and the date Thursday 28 November. Text below says “An evening for all Wellingtonians. It’s tough out there, let’s do something to show we care.”
I’m heading along to Aroha Wellington this Thursday night - to celebrate Pōneke and show support for those having a tough time. See you there?

I aspire to be this eloquent. #toitūtetiriti
Ha ha ha, this is awesome. That must have been a very confusing conversation 🤣
I was today years old when I found out about fan fiction where Harry Potter & Draco Malfoy hook up and I am 100% already a fan.
Fave sign of the hīkoi (right after @alicesoapbox.bsky.social’s)
This was definitely my fave sign of the day 🤣🤣
Seemed like an appropriate message to take to Parliament.
Pōneke Wellington is PACKED! So many humans showed up today that we can’t event get into Paremata Parliament grounds. #toitūtetiriti
Toddler crawling on top of her mother.
Any tips for making my toddler less chaos? Thanks in advance.
Our local community was out for hours today waving at people driving past to awhi the hīkoi. Probably around 150 people showed up, all ages & joyous. I reckon around a third of the cars that drove past showed their support too. #toitūtetiriti
