I did it. I finally finished the guitar I started building during the lockdown. It only took me six years.

I think eventually, the gratitude outpaces the regret and you get to a place of sort of peaceful introspection. That’s where I’m at right now.

However, I certainly feel I’ve gained a deeper appreciation and gratitude for the things around me. The world is beautiful and the natural world divine. Is that wisdom? Sometimes it feels a little like it.

As a person about 20 years older than you, and deeply identifying with everything you just wrote, I can tell you it never gets easier. It never gets less sharp. But, you learned to see the world differently, and feel the wonderful things even in the difficult things.
