But it does still feel isolating sometimes. Still trying to figure out how it can feel less that way.

I feel very lucky to have (had) some kind, encouraging, and inspiring people around me, especially at some important times in my academic journey.
I also feel very isolated sometimes! I try to connect with other researchers but as an extremely introverted person it can take a lot of energy to build and maintain those connections. It has definitely helped a lot even when it can sometimes feel not worthwhile as connections naturally come and go.
