Especially through the eyes of poverty, the guilt that comes with that type of hunger, and not knowing how-- or if-- it will ever be filled, it's a horror all on it's own, and I am afraid of how things will feel when I finally sink my teeth into whatever it is I'm so hungry for.

Based on both HOUSE (1977), my favorite horror movie, as well as a poem I wrote, "big bad wolf". The ideal is how often we villianize people for simply being hungry; for food, for a home, for stability.

Companies make everything the same basic colors- red/blue/black/grey. Cars, kitchenware- they stick to those four basics because they're cost-effective and sell faster. Unique color items often suffer a color tax. They cost more despite being the same product, so poor people have fewer color options

The idea that bright, wild color is something you outgrow is a damaging lie society tells us. This unspoken rule, that enjoying intense, clashing colors makes you childish, is pure bullshit. The depression palette trend has only gotten worse because it saves corpos money. We gotta end it.

I get yelled at for saying this but for many hundreds of years people went to university not to get diplomas or be employable but because immersion in the humanities was considered foundational to a good life, and school must return to its original purpose: the joy of learning.
