Meet Virgil, our new moyen poodle puppy. He'll grow up to be a size about halfway between a standard and a mini. He is gentle and a bit cautious, but loves all the time he spends bounding around off leash. he's a real cuddlebug!
is that related to enshittification?
I finally understand at a gut level what Hannah Arendt meant by "the banality of evil."
It only took Hitler 53 days to dismantle German democracy.
Afterwards everything Hitler did was legal.
Opposing him was illegal.
It's only a matter of time before opposing Trump will be illegal. That's why he's getting Guantanamo ready, to lock up protesters and critics.
If you take down a Confederate memorial that was literally dedicated to promote white supremacy, that’s “erasing history.”
But if you hide pictures of accomplished women, that’s just fighting wokeness.
“Vera herself offers an excellent example of what can happen when more minds participate in science,” the observatory’s website said of Rubin — up until recently.

Tweet sent out 14 hours BEFORE the DC mid air collision by Thomas Schaller on X: “An FAA employee I know confirms agency already lacks sufficient air traffic controllers. Remember that fact when the flight delays (crashes?) commence and Trumpers start falsely blaming DEl or Biden. 08:06 • 1/29/25 • 1.4M Views”
This tweet sent out 14 hours BEFORE the crash needs to be immortalized in stone.

Or on a stamp.
Or maybe currency.
Something.
Says it all.

Today is Bodhi Day, which is celebrated by Buddhists to remember the day when Buddha attained enlightenment. Our puppy, Bohdi, is very much not there yet.
A brave mushroom
Poodle puppy
Best tips for raising a puppy who is right on track to be a large fellow? He's 5 months and alternates between demonic and adorable.
I think culturally to make that kind of man socially ridiculous. I think All in the Family helped expose ignorant racism for what it was/is. Humor is a weapon. Not the complete answer obviously.
Truly chilling

Raising a puppy keeps me on my toes. Bodhi is a standard poodle, 5 months old, and full of mischief
Unsurprisingly, I love salamanders!
You're among friends 😘
I'm in! But still finding my way around
She's on bluesky. Great posts!
