On the Isle of Awakening? There isnt an easy way to tell. Generally the bounds of the IoA towns go right up to the ocean. So, not only the valley, but the mountains surrounding it are in town.

It's quite large, the southern boundary of Green Gardens is that narrow valley with the abandoned house.

I have not. Afaik, the build time caps out on "will be ready tomorrow" (in other words, the daily refresh at 5 am local), so just don't do any of the obvious big builds until your last play session of the day.

Loving Pokopia a ton so far, feels very polished. I can't help but look at it and see the ghost of what DQB2 could have been if it was given the same amount of budget and dev time love 😔

I don't keep up with the nuzlocke scene but I saw someone mention offhand somewhere that they just rarecandy mons instead of leveling up normally and I was kind of baffled

No problem! The "Epilogue" was added into the game as one of the very last content patches so it's implementation is a bit hacky/weird I think. (There is also a secretish bonus scene if you take Rosie and the one new NPC with Furrowfield as their home island back to Furrowfield btw)

Did you get the postgame quest? From finishing 45 tablet targets and doing all the explorer shores checklists. (And generating a buildertopia is needed too I think.) Then check your mailbox

In chapter 9 you will meet mighty foes. These dragons are no joke to face. You better recruit some new friends to help you out!
