I've long listened to your rants against the future conditional on the pod, but this is the first time I've gotten an explanation. It all makes sense. Thank you.

Just giving credit where it's due.
It's my pleasure. I owe a lot to your generosity to the community, especially when it comes to Breathless.
If you haven't seen the new hotness coming from @rpdeshaies.farirpgs.com and @mythworks.bsky.social check it out!
Breathless is getting the CBR+PNK treatment and @dngnclub.itch.io is doing the graphic design. There might be too much talent on this one!

This is truth. Nothing worth doing comes without effort. Either put in the the work or shut up and sit down.
Invoke the 25th amendment RIGHT FUCKING NOW!
Barrel d4s are the way of the future.
BTW, all of Breathless' mechanics are pretty much player facing making it a GREAT system for both solo play and solo hacks
Find out for yourself, it's free

OG Apocalypse World by the Bakers. I had pretty much only played DND 3e at the time, but I wanted to branch out. Vincent ran a brief demo for me at PAX East in 2011 and the fiction first approach to play was something totally different than what I was used to, and it lit my brain on fire.
For tons of folks, there was that -one- game that blew the doors open and showed what #TTRPGs could be. The one that started the #IndieGame rabbit hole.
What was YOUR "gateway" indie #TTRPG? The first one that made you realize a whole other world was out there?

Cool. I'll check it out.
Who's got a recommendation for a good #ttrpg actual play crew that does #horror shows? And I do not mean jokey Halloween times. I'm looking for a real horror show.
I'll take that recommendation. Got a couple episodes qeued up for work tomorrow.
Some faves that I listen to:
@worldbuildcast.bsky.social scifi/fantasy authors talk about world building.
@pseudopod.org top notch horror fiction (non-serialized).
@gonzohistory.bsky.social Monster Man. Short episodes about monster entries in old DND books.
That is pretty common actually. If I were to play every game I own, I would need several lifetimes to do it.
Ooh, I just picked this up at a con last weekend.
Some things I've seen in my circles:
1) Solo games are still very much having their moment.
2) Big ass trad games seem to be making a come back because Daggerheart.
3) Horror games are coming out of the woodwork in droves. The horror genre always thrives when the state of the world is horrific.
What does The Decay have going on?
- Setting neutral: run wherever/whenever you want.
- Player rules to drive home the dying light and force ugly choices.
- Decay Level helps GMs set pacing w/ prompts that get worse the longer the game goes on.
- Modular Rules: Customize to how you want it to feel.
Hey there #horror heads! I have spent the last year and a half developing the survival horror #ttrpg I've always wanted. It's going to KS in October and I'd love it if you checked it out and gave it a follow.

I've got some exciting news...
As a way of saying thank you to the TTRPG community for all the love and support y'all have given me for Breathless over the years, I decided to fully revamp the original pamphlet and giive it for free for y'all to enjoy some zombie survival horror gaming ^^
Enjoy β€οΈ!
Using "punk" as a catch all suffix really bugs me, because there generally isn't anything punk about the thing it's describing. Words have meaning.
Elon: "Grok has more empathy and ability to understand human feelings than I do!"
My dining chairs have more empathy and ability to understand human feelings than Elon do.
In the Dresden Files series there's a list of 10 things wizards are forbidden from doing with magic by a ruling council of wizards who will literally kill you if you break the rules. Things like messing with time, transforming others against their will, etc. They give good reasons for all of them.
Think of the folks you regard as defining that scene you feel you're struggling to contribute to. I guarantee you that they all have days like this too. Acknowledge the feelings of inadequacy for what they are: feelings. Transitiory and subjective. You'll still be here when they pass.
