was thinking last night about how there are vanishingly few trans people who *don't* have some sort of "wish I'd known/done something earlier" regret and how that's *precisely* why we have to fight for the rights of trans kids; they deserve the opportunity to grow up with fewer of those regrets

and not unintentional - many cis folk need to cleanse any hint of queerness or transgression from their choices in order to feel comfortable. the current mainstream promotion of hormones for cis folk goes hand in hand with the removal of trans access to them
