It's running through a game engine, so the sprites are obviously premade but everything is being triggered by midi. each sample is (roughly) assigned to a sprite and some kind of effect.

RUIN is a teletext-esque fever dream. The sort of game I would have loved to explore on my TV as a kid. It oozes with style and hints at an even greater world that your character currently inhabits. I imagine this is what all the cool people play~
