Lots of people crossing the Ballard Bridge with signs saying “Save Rail to Ballard”.

100+ people have showed up to tell Sound Transit to build Ballard Link.
I think you are right. It look likes the tentacles retract when the anemone is out of water. Thanks!
A sea creature, that looks like a Chihuly piece, in an abandoned pipe. (If you know what this is, let me know).

Discovered a new side of Seattle today. This city is so cool.
Looking westbound on Columbian Way from the Even Better Bike Lane.
Today is a great day to ride a bike. 🚲
Incorrect wayfinding signs are a growing pain for Seattle’s transit system and should be corrected as soon as possible. Incorrect signs are, at best, confusing and, at worst, a barrier to using transit.

It is incredible that we’ve had three Link extensions in the past year, but we can’t forget the fundamentals as the system grows.
Pre-Downtown Redmond Link system map.
It’s wild that the System Map at Westlake, the busiest Link station, is missing the last three Link extensions.
We just spent $350 for two round trip tickets to Vancouver, BC. It would have been way cheaper to drive and park at the hotel. But like you said, we are doing it for the views and my love of trains (and to avoid the hassle of driving).
Update: someone (maybe Metro) has relabeled the exit letters on the Metro signs at Mercer Island station.
Route 544 map
This is a small sample size, but it seems like ST was spot on with the idea to replace Route 545 with Route 544.
Post-Crosslake Connection Route 545 trip report:
A Redmond-bound AM trip was about half as full as the same trip in March. About 80% of the passengers boarded the bus from one of the stops on Olive Way. All but three people got off the bus at one of the stops near Microsoft (40th St and 51st St).

I’m on a 2 Line train with a parent teaching their kid how to ride it independently. The kid is excited to go to the U District with their friends.
The freedom to travel independently as a kid was fundamental in my own development. I’m thrilled to see kids in the next generation get this freedom.
It’s not LWB, but might be the Seward Park loop?
Yes. I haven’t heard an update (not a good sign), but can confirm the project status this week.

I suspect these benches will be heavily used every weekend this summer.
Wait, are you saying it gets better than this?

Someone managed to flip their car on Rainier Ave, just south of Graham St. I hope they are okay. This should be impossible to do on any street in Seattle.

Wilson's announcement of Bike weekends takes us approximately back to what bike weekends were under Mayor Durkan in 2021.
Just off the top of my head:
Last year: 10 weekends, 10am Sat - 6pm Sun: 320 hours
This year: 15 weekends, 7pm Fri - 7am(?) Mon, and three holidays: 972 hours
Actually, an hours comparison would be even better. If I had to guess, this year will have twice as many hours.

An analysis of the number of days might be more accurate - we get holiday weekends this year!
This is incredible news, and it wouldn’t happen without all the support from volunteers, neighbors, advocates like our Accessible Lake WA Blvd Committee, and more. We’ll see you on this wonderful park space this summer!
“This becomes a traffic nightmare for the Mt. Baker neighborhood.” “Karen Jones And blocks all of us who are not able to get around!!!!! And those who choose the scenic route on the weekends.” “Bull......This is a totally biased decision. To heck with those of us who are differently abled.”
It has already started
Grab your helmets, wheels, or running shoes and head to Lake Washington this summer!
Seattle Parks & Recreation (@seattleparksandrec.bsky.social) is bringing Bicycle Weekends to Lake Washington Boulevard every weekend this year from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The timing is probably coincidental, but this is a great response to someone driving their car into Lake Washington from LWB this morning.
Saturday, May 23 — Monday, May 25* Saturday, May 30 — Sunday, May 31 Saturday, June 6 — Sunday, June 7 Saturday, June 13 — Sunday, June 14 Saturday, June 20 — Sunday, June 21 Saturday, June 27— Sunday, June 28 Friday, July 3 — Sunday, July 5* Saturday, July 11— Sunday, July 12 Saturday, July 18 — Sunday, July 19 Saturday, July 25 — Sunday, July 26 Saturday, August 8 — Sunday, August 9 Saturday, August 15 — Sunday, August 16 Saturday, August 22 — Sunday, August 23 Saturday, August 29 — Sunday, August 30 Saturday, September 5 — Monday, September 7
This is huge: Katie Wilson's office just announced a significantly expanded schedule for Bicycle Weekends on Lake Washington Boulevard, after years of the program being stifled under Bruce Harrell.
In addition to more weekends, we're getting our long holiday weekends back.

I appreciate the follow up, thank you!
