Yeah, Deus Ex had a huge impact on me as well. I still regularly enjoy playing it in Randomizer to this day.

I've heard the same - they already added Vvardenfell, Gold Coast, Hew's Bane and Wrothgar to the base game and Western Skyrim is being added later in the year. Really glad they're doing this to give even more exploration options to new players.
There should be a few quests left in Shadowfen, and if you're after even more Argonian content there is Murkmire and Blackwood, though they aren't part of the base game.
I don't want to tell you where to go, but I have a hunch the Gold Coast might be to your liking, with your history with Oblivion.
Best thing you can do is just immediately go to whatever zone or racial homeland interests you and forget that it's an MMO at all.
I'd say ESO's biggest strength is the sheer amount of stories and locations it has from across the Elder Scrolls world. If you're into the lore, there's lots to see.

Textbook clickbait right here. This 'return to Skyrim' it touts is an upcoming chapter in Elder Scrolls Online, which currently covers the eastern and western parts of the region but leaves a lot of the central area unexplored.
