Congrats! I got mine a year ago, also for medical reasons. Urologist said I could opt to keep my foreskin, but my recovery would have a higher risk of infection.

It’s one of the best choices I’ve ever made. My recovery was right on target at 6 weeks and I’ve never looked back :)
